Rakhi Sawant Confirms Wedding Plans in Pakistan Despite Setbacks
Indian actress and reality TV star Rakhi Sawant has once again grabbed headlines by confirming her third marriage will take place in Pakistan. This announcement comes just days after Pakistani actor Dodi Khan, who had previously proposed to her, backed out due to public pressure.
Speaking to an Indian journalist, Rakhi confidently stated, “My wedding will take place in Pakistan, whereas, a reception will be held in India, followed by a Switzerland honeymoon.”
Sawant further added that Pakistani actress Hania Aamir would be attending her wedding. “Hania is an absolute sweetheart. She is like a sister to me and will be coming to my wedding,” she said.
Dodi Khan Backs Out but Assures Marriage Will Happen
Dodi Khan had earlier proposed marriage to Rakhi Sawant, but later changed his stance. He explained, “Rakhi ji, you are my very good friend, and will always be, but you cannot be my bride.” He cited overwhelming public criticism as the reason behind his decision, stating, “The backlash has been too much, and I cannot tolerate it.”
However, Khan reassured Sawant that she would still marry in Pakistan, saying, “I will get you married in this country and to one of my Pakistani brothers.”
Who Will Be Rakhi Sawant’s Groom?
When asked about her future husband, Rakhi responded, “My groom will either be Dodi Khan or one of his brothers. But one thing is sure, I will become Pakistan’s daughter-in-law.”
She further revealed that Dodi Khan would soon be meeting her in Dubai on Valentine’s Day, where they plan to discuss their relationship. “I don’t have to convince Dodi. He is ready to marry me but is only scared of all the criticism coming his way,” she claimed.
Rakhi Sawant’s Previous Marriages
This will be Rakhi’s third marriage. She was first married to Ritesh Raj Singh, whom she introduced in Bigg Boss 15, but the relationship ended soon after the show in February 2022. Later, she tied the knot with Adil Khan Durrani, but that marriage also ended in controversy.
